Despite all the snow and cool spring weather the Garbanzo bike trails WILL open on time!

The trail crew have been digging through an unprecedented amount of snow in order to find and open the trail network, but thanks to modern GPS technology they were able find their way. Staying on trail will be easier than ever and riders should bring an extra set of mitts in case of emergency.

The trails on the plan for opening this weekend are:

  • Blue Velvet
  • Upper Freight Train not likely due to major snow in key sections – stay tuned on this one
  • In Deep
  • Fatcrobat
  • Too Tight
  • Goat’s Gully
  • Expressway
  • Lower Freight Train
  • Duff Man
  • No Duff
  • Sidetrack
  • Renegade
  • It will be cool and moist but the riding quality is top notch. You can expect some rough sections of trail as the crew has been working on getting snow and blow-down off the trails and a little less on buffing the riding surfaces to date. As we get everything open we will spend some time polishing and rebuilding before we jump into new trail development for the year.

For those of you a still in shock from the photo above,  here is what it really looks like…
